With over 30 years of experience in providing high-quality temporary childcare, creches and lost child services at major venues, festivals, conferences and events, Janthea has worked with leading organising companies, embassies, political parties, national charities, trade unions and across the Queen’s Diamond and Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

As an Early Years professional, Janthea is an expert on safeguarding at events and lost child procedures, frequently sitting on safety advisory group meetings as a consultant for event organisers. She is also a writer and blogger, contributing to wider press articles and participating in panel sessions on safeguarding at events, lost child procedures, and creating family-friendly environments. What sets Janthea apart is her passion for neuroscience and her belief in “be curious rather than furious.”

Janthea is a visionary and her contributions to the field of event childcare are significant, including an instrumental role in creating the “Purple Guide to Health, Safety and Welfare at outdoor Events,” and influence on the guidelines on creches in the Association of Venue’s “E guide.” Most recently Janthea has been involved in creating the ESG ONE Change Programme with The Ops Nest, contributing to their sustainability, accessibility, diversity and governance projects.

Keen to share her experience and knowledge, Janthea has created a number of practical solutions to support parents and children at home including “Virtual Edutainment Sessions” to help parents attend online meetings and conferences, “Nipper Cards” – affirmation cards to encourage children to talk about their feelings through play, the “Nipperbout Anxiety Toolkit” – a collection of activities and strategies for recognising and reducing anxiety, and the “Animal Power Colouring Book” – designed to relax and unwind the mind and linked to the teaching curriculum.

An Ambassador for Children at Events, Janthea has an eye for identifying and mitigating risk, and vast experience in dealing with unexpected situations. Janthea’s life’s work is to create safe, enjoyable event environments for children and families.
