Kelly is currently an Events and Engagement Manager for the University of Leicester and has worked on events for a number of Corporate Institutions in the past decade focusing mainly on Higher Education and has a vast portfolio of managing annual conferences, dinners, receptions, award ceremonies and meetings for a range of delegates from free ticketed events to high profile individuals. A highlight was managing the programme for the University of Leicester’s 100th Birthday Celebrations in 2022 which saw around 70 events across the year celebrating the institution’s heritage and community. In 2019, Kelly won the East Midlands Women’s Award (EMWA) for Outstanding Woman in Arts, Media, and Music.
Kelly is dedicated to the industry full-time, providing her skills through volunteering in her spare time as a Fashion Show, Movie Premiere, and Music Festival producer all for Charity. In 2019, Kelly was Highly Commended for East Midlands Volunteer of The Year.
Kelly taught on the How To Run An Event module for The Doctoral College at the University of Leicester became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2021, became Virtual Events Institute (VEI) Expert qualified, and is a member of EventProfsLive.
After falling into Event Management for 10 years after completing her psychology degree, Kelly has now begun to go full circle to look at how psychology can help Event Profs think more deeply about their attendees, and more wisely about the design and environments they provide through The Event Psychologist Instagram Channel.
