CHS is heading to De Vere Tortworth Court

On 5 February we will be heading to De Vere Tortworth Court for our next Inspirational Venue Roadshow.  As always, our IVRs are about creating an informal and relaxed environment to connect venues and event professionals, all whilst experiencing the amazing hospitality of the host venue.

Introducing De Vere Tortworth Court

Situated on the southernmost edge of the beautiful Cotswolds in the heart of 30 acres of rolling countryside, Tortworth Mansion House is a truly majestic country house hotel. Recorded in the Domesday Book, the estate was the ancestral seat of the Ducie family for 350 years. Following a multi-million pound restoration, the manor house now combines 21st-century style with a wealth of original features and fittings.

Located only 2 hrs from London, 1.5hrs from Birmingham and 15 mins from Bristol is the South West’s perfect MICE venue.  With 201 bedrooms, 14 event spaces, restaurants, a spa and gym the hotel offers all the “standard” requirements you would need, however nothing at De Vere Tortworth Court is delivered as “standard”. The Orangery, dating from the 18th century with its glassed domed ceiling is the ideal private dining space for up to 120 guests with its own bar, private kitchen and patio.

97 of the 201 bedrooms are our De Vere Reserve deluxe rooms and suites with 55 located in the Mansion House.  De Vere Reserve offers a sense of luxury on arrival perfect for those high-end luxury away days and board meetings.  

Following an afternoon of one-to-one appointments with our exhibitors, guests at the IVR can expect to be immersed in all that De Vere Tortworth Court has to offer, here’s a sneak peek of what we have planned. 

Enjoy Tortworth Mansion’s majestic history

Home to English aristocracy since the 14th-century, the “Gothic revival” mansion house was built between 1849 and 1853. A grand oak staircase sweeps up and around the double-height reception, leading to some of the finest bedrooms and suites on the estate, with king-size beds, buttoned sofas, commissioned artwork, and beautifully-restored original features.

For glamour and grandeur, check out the Library Bar and 1853 Restaurant: glorious, oak-panelled rooms with a palpable sense of history (not to mention beautiful views of the grounds). Outside, you’ll find 30 acres to explore, beautifully tended lawns, an atmospheric woodland and a notable Victorian arboretum.

The luxury Leaf Spa is a retreat to escape for a spot of luxury and relaxation, a place to rebalance and revitalise your mind body and spirit. In your spare time why not explore the hotel’s leisure facilities? Leaf Spa hosts a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and 5 treatment rooms.
